Wonderscape by Jennifer Bell

🍌🍌🍌🍌🍌 We were absolutely bananas about this book!

Blurb:

When Arthur, Sen and Cecily investigate a mysterious explosion, they find themselves trapped in the year of 2473.

Lost in the Wonderscape, an epic in-reality adventure game, they must call on the help of some unlikely historical heroes to play their way home before time runs out.

Our review:

Wonderscape is the first book by Jennifer that I have read and now I am looking into others! This was so well thought out. The story if these three very different children is magnificent and I recommend it to all. The theory is brilliant and very original , I have never read anything like it in my life! Their adventure pulls you in and you find yourself standing in the realms with Arthur, Cecily and Ren. They all have different skills and they all have a special moment when their importance really shines. I loved Cloud and the heroes , especially the skills that were gained and the exciting twist that nobody would suspect. All the challenges left you on edge and the riddles are truly mysterious. I wish there was a sequel.

The cover is so alluring and it makes you want to see whats going on. This would make an excellent film and likewise with Jennifer's other books.( The Uncommoners)

It's exciting, adventurous and full of mysteries; it could be a great class book or a family read. I recommend it to 9+.
